The Chief of Defense Forces (CDF), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba on Wednesday announced the promotion of four Brigadier Generals to the rank of Major General and confirmed them as UPDF Infantry Division Commanders.
The promoted Generals include; Brigadier General Stephen Mugerwa who was promoted to the rank of Major General and confirmed commander of 1st infantry Division Kakiri.
Others are; Brig Gen Paul Muhanguzi, Brig Gen Felix Busizori and Brig Gen Micheal Kalungi who were confirmed to command the UPDF 2nd, 4th & 5th Infantry Divisions respectively.
According to the statement issued by the UPDF Director Public Information, Brig Gen Felix Kulayigye, the new ranks are yet to be signed off by the President/CIC Yoweri Museveni and therefore designated as “Acting.”
