Godfrey Kaaya Kavuma the former Managing Director of Buganda Kingdom radio CBS is dead.
He is one of the Kingdom loyalists, who also served Buganda as the Deputy Katikkiro for the Kingdom.
Kavuma succumbed to Kidney failure at Kampala International Hospital (IHK).
He was one of the brains behind the establishment of CBS FM, and has been the managing director for 18 years since the radio was opened up on the airwaves of frequency modulation.
He groomed several of the Kabaka’s officials including the current Katikkiro Peter Charles Mayiga who entered the services of the Kingdom at a tender age.
Before his death, Kavuma had retired with enthusiasm of serving his Kabaka for such a long period of time.
Kaaya Kavuma served Buganda Kingdom in several capacities amongst of which he served as a delegate representing Busiro to the Ssabattaka Supreme Council, a Kingdom state minister for finance, and financial controller at the first coronation ceremonies in 1993.
