KAMPALA – The Uganda Police Force has confirmed that it’s Disciplinary court recommended that Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Nsiima Clive, the officer whose assault on a female petrol station attendant should be dismissed from the force for behaving in a “scandalous manner.”
In a press release dated October 13, 2025, the the Police force provided updates on the disciplinary and criminal proceedings against Clive Nsiima after was captured in a widely circulated video, and is currently on remand in Luzira Prison after appearing in court today.
The statement detailed that ASP Nsiima, who was apprehended and detained following the circulation of the video on October 8, has been subjected to both internal disciplinary processes and external criminal prosecution.
* Disciplinary Action: The officer appeared before the police disciplinary court on Tuesday, October 7, and Friday, October 10, 2025. He was charged with behaving in a scandalous manner, for which the court recommended a sentence of dismissal.
* Criminal Charges: Today, October 13, 2025, ASP Nsiima was produced in criminal court at KCCA (Kampala Capital City Authority) on charges of assault and threatening violence. He was subsequently remanded in prison.
The incident stems from a viral video that showed ASP Nsiima, dressed in civilian clothes, physically assaulting a female attendant at a Shell petrol station shop.
In court today, Nsiima pleaded not guilty and applied for bail, with the ruling set for October 16.
The Uganda Police Force ended the release by strongly condemning unprofessional conduct and reaffirming its pledge to uphold discipline within its ranks.
