Gone are the days when we thought that its only women who should look good but those days are no more. It’s critical too for a man like a woman to mind his appearance. When you look and smell good, you will move with confidence and it’s worth the feeling.

However, instead of spending a lot of time in the bathroom like an elderly woman, keep it nice and easy. Many times we tend to think grooming is only for women; but oh boy, you need to look good as a man. There are few hints to make you shine and walk with your head high. Embracing the following will do you good.

Wear the deodorants

The fact that you can’t smell yourself, doesn’t imply that others will not. Remember you need to know the difference between deodorants and antiperspirants as they both work independently. Proper knowledge and application will not require more of your time but will only take a few minutes.

Cut your nails

Fingernails and toenails can look bad especially if you leave them to over-grow. The treatment you give to your hair should be the same you give to your nails. It’s unusual to find a man seated and attending to his nails thanks to the manicure boys who provide the service at a simple fee. Be stylish and become your own advisor. Dedicate at least five (5) minutes and trim your nails as this will leave you a happy man.

Trim nose hair

Unless you want to look like a ghost, don’t think that it’s only women who should care about their appearances too. Hair protruding from your nostrils will make you look like an alien. Purchasing a trimmer will go a long was to save you the trips to salons for a quick shave. A trimmer is a great investment. It will keep you looking good in between trips to the barber.

Shave your beard

No woman can stand a man with unshaven beard looking as though there is a shortage of salons in the neighborhood. Get a life and mind your looks because you never know it may land you that good-paying job that you have always dreamt of. Remember, you could be interacting with people and all of a sudden, you start scratching that beard uneasily. Don’t wait to be embarrassed before your friends. Keep it short for those who can regularly keep it well trimmed and take good care of it. The best advice is to shave right after a hot shower. The hot water and steam help open your pores and make the hair softer. Not only does it make it easier to shave but it also reduces irritation.

Tame your bad breath

When you eat food, some of it can get stuck between your teeth. Bacteria thrives in the mouth creating this horrible smell especially if one doesn’t take good health of their mouths. The key to this is to always brush your teeth after eating and more importantly after flossing. Don’t forget to wash your tongue, as it can be very refreshing but not a permanent solution. If you are on a journey, you might want to get a chewing gum or baking soda with some water to fix a bad breath in case you ran out of tooth-paste and you have an important meeting coming up.

Have warm showers

At times you need warm water for showering. But if you are the kind of person with a dry skin, avoid warm water if you can. Our bodies have essential oils and the same applies to the scalp. Washing your hair more often than you should in hot water, strips them of these oils and creates dry skin. This is usually visible on your scalp and face. Reduce on your showers unless you are working out. Wash your hair with shampoo only three times a week. A little natural oil in the hair looks better, and healthier.

Moisturize every day

This is one of those things that I find kind of tedious but are extremely important especially with those of us that have sensitive dry skin. You wake up and notice that your cheeks and nose have spots all over them while the skin is itchy and reddish. You are not alone my friend. I struggled years to understand what is going on, but it all had to do with using the correct skin products and procedure.
