Uganda’s ‘king of videography’ Ian Akankwasa alias SASHA VYBZ joined the list of awardees after he was awarded the best video director in the 2019 edition of the African Music Magazine Awards (AFRICA) held over the weekend in Dallas, Texas.
The awards ceremony that attracted a lot of bright African talent was graced by renown celebrities and saw Sasha VYBZ win the best video of 2019. Sasha beat stiff competition from the likes of Justin compas from South Africa , Clarence Peters from Nigeria , and director Kenny from Tanzania who are the biggest names in video directing.
Sasha VYBZ is a Ugandan video and movie director, cinematographer and entrepreneur. He’s among the best video directors in East Africa with tens of music videos to his name.
Artist Burna Boy from Nigeria scooped a variety of awards as he won artist of the year award, Best male artist West Africa, and ain’t of the year – killing dem that saw him scoop the most awards in the Awards.
