The territorial Police in Kassanda District are actively investigating the murder of Busingye Jennifer, a 48 year-old woman and resident of Ndaiga Village, Makokoto Sub County, who was murdered by her husband.
The suspect, Mutungi Godfrey (aged 55), is the Defence Chairman for Ndaiga Village, Makokoto Sub County and also resident of the same area. Preliminary findings indicate that the deceased was a wife to Mutungi Godfrey and they have 14 children together.
According to Police PRO Wamala Region, Rachel Kawala, the couple developed a misunderstanding, on the night of 16th April 2025 while at their home in Ndaiga village, and started a fight that resulted into death of Busingye.
“Findings indicate the suspect stabbed Busingye multiple times on the face, the chest and on the head using a knife and he after fled the scene. Unfortunately the victim breathed her last while being rushed for medical attention. Body of the deceased was taken to Kassanda health Center IV for postmortem.” SP Kawala noted in a statement.
Kawala noted that Search efforts are on to ensure the suspect (husband) is brought to book with investigations still underway to deliver justice.
