The territorial police in kiboga are holding a woman in connection with murder case involving an 11 year old whose body was cut and internal organs removed in what is suspected to be human sacrifice.
The suspect was identified as
Nakyeyune Madinah Female aged 42 yrs Resident of Kirurumba cell ,Kiboga town council Kiboga district and the victim is Namanda Oliver Female aged 11 yrs a pupil at Fairway Nursery school, resident of Buzibwera cell in Kiboga District.
Preliminary findings by police indicate on Monday at about 2200hrs, Namanda Oliver left home to kiboga town vending boiled fresh maize dressed up in yellow T-shirt and black skirt and from then did not return home. A case was reported to police on Tuesday and search efforts immediately started.
On 12th day June 2024 at around 1130hrs, body parts of Namanda were seen by a young boy that had gone to collect some grass for animals in kibanja of Mr Sekandi in Kirurumba cell and informed the parents. According to the police spokesperson Wamala Region,
SP Racheal Kawala, police task teams led by DPC Kiboga, immediately responded to the scene of crime.
At the scene of crime, police discovered that internal organs including lungs, heart amongst others had been removed out of the body. According to the statement by police,
the abdomen was cut off from the legs and taken away. However the two legs were all abandoned at the crime scene.
Exhibits including Knicker, black skirt suspected to be for the deceased have been recovered -according to Kawala.
Kawala notes that the police dog was introduced to the scene of crime and led the investigators into a shrine at kirurumba cell belonging to Nakyeyune Madinah.
“The suspect Nakyeyune Madinah owner of the shrine is currently detained at Kiboga police station. Search efforts are on to recover missing body parts. Our task teams are doing all it takes to have more suspects arrested and brought to justice” SP Kawala stated indicating that further details will be provided as investigations progress.
