It is not well between the Acting Uganda Musicians’ Association (UMA) president, Wycliffe Tugume aka Ykee Benda and Big Talent Entertainment CEO, Eddy Kenzo after the BET award winner questioned Ykee Benda’s ability to lead Uganda Musician’s Association.
In an interview circulating online, Kenzo, who returned from Ivory Coast where he was stuck for almost 4 months and currently quarantined, labelled Benda a ‘BOY who is unfit to lead the association.
“I respect Ykee Benda but in my view I think he is still a boy and has no experience to lead this industry,” said Kenzo.
Kenzo’s statement and submission didn’t go down well with the “SINGA” hit maker as he asked fellow singer Kenzo to accord him some respect while mentioning his name.
Before reminding him how he’s now a father whose son looks at as a Dad not a boy, Ykee Benda threatened to expose the BET award winner if he ever refers to him as a boy again.
Benda also added that people with shallow minds like Kenzo’s are the ones that have dragged the Ugandan music industry backwards.
Following the resignation of the Uganda Music Association (UMA) president Sophie Gombya who opted for politics, from Apass to Gravity Omutujju and now Eddy Kenzo, musicians have questioned the potential of the acting President Ykee Benda to lead the association.
We can only wait to hear the response from Eddy Kenzo and this website will furnish you with a timely update.
