Australian-based cardiologist turned activist, Dr. Aggrey Kiyingi is dead.
A Ugandan national and consultant cardiologist based in Merrylands Australia, Kiyingi was reported dead on Saturday.
However, details about the cause of his death remain scanty.
Kiyingi is the founder of DEHEZI international -the 1st big computer shop in Uganda way back in 2002.
Kiyingi’s name came into the limelight in 2005 after he was implicated in the murder of his wife Robinah Kiyingi at her gate in Buziga.
In 2006, a Ugandan court acquitted Dr Kiyingi of organizing the killing of Ms Kiyingi, a prominent corruption fighting lawyer, who was shot dead outside her home in Uganda.
Towards the 2021 general elections, Dr Kiyingi announced a bid for presidency though he didn’t contest. He also said he had formed the Uganda Federal Democratic Organisation (UFDO).
