Re-known preacher and founder World Trumpet Mission, Dr John Mulinde, is steadily recovering after a successful surgery in India.
On 17th February 2022, Pastor Mulinde underwent a delicate surgery to create a bypass to the liver and pancreatic ducts which earlier medical investigations had shown to be blocked by a cancerous tumor.
According to the update published on February 24, 2022, Peter Micheal Oumo, a Senior Pastor at Kampala Trumpet center stated that Mulinde’s condition is not very bad as earlier anticipated after results showed that the tumor in his abdomen is not cancerous.
Pastor Oumo also said, instead of the bypass, the surgeons conducted “a Laparotomy and a repeat biopsy” since the the first diagnosis of Mulinde’s health condition had been inconclusive. He said, the report has shown that Dr John is suffering from Autoimmune Pancreatitis and now awaits pending results on treatment of the tumor.
“The good news, and for which we give all praise to God is that the results have come out, negative – meaning that the tumour is not cancerous. The biopsy report has shown that Dr John is suffering from Autoimmune Pancreatitis. Other tests have been conducted to determine the best course of treatment for this tumour, and we are waiting for the results.” the statement reads in part.
“When the results are out and a course of treatment has been agreed, we shall provide another update, including revised treatment costs. We have also been assured that Dr John is recovering steadily from last week’s surgery.”
