The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) will release the 2020 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results tomorrow -Friday, August 20, 2021.
This is the third set of the national examinations to be released after Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) and 2020 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results that were released last month.
Ministry of Education said Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, briefed Ms. Janet Museveni about the performance of students.
The release of results will be conducted at Nakasero State House under strict observance of Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs). A total of 98,393 students sat for 2020 UACE.
All officers from the Ministry of Education, UNEB and journalists are required to test for Covid-19 before accessing the venue.
The release of UACE examinations comes at a time when the Ministry of Education has not yet communicated a plan to effect transition of learners from previous classes which has created a sense of uncertainty among learners, parents and all stakeholders.
During the release of both 2020 PLE and UACE results, Ms Museveni said the Ministry of Education will set dates for Senior One and Five selections after the lockdown has been lifted. She however reaffirmed need to have teachers and learners vaccinated before schools re-open for studies.
