According to the Deputy police Spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan area Luke Oweyesigyire, the masked thugs armed with pangas and clubs, broke into the house after cutting the perimeter wall at around 1:00am before making away with valuables.

It was also established that thugs tied the people they found in the house (including women) with ropes before executing their mission.

Preliminary investigations indicate that he might have connived with thugs.

By press time, Police had cordoned off the late Archbishop’s home and could not permit access to the home members for an interview but some of the stolen items had reportedly been recovered.
