Audio Producers Body, Producers Association Uganda (APAU) have summoned Kampala Lord Mayor-hopeful Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone and his brother, Douglas Mayanja aka Weasel Manizo for indiscipline.
The association gave the Mayanja brothers a 3-day ultimatum to appear for an arbitration meeting or face the consequences.
APAU intervention comes after Weasel Manizo together with Messiah and Cyrus stormed Genis Goddy’s City Jam studios last month and vandalized his studio property worth millions.
It is alleged that the group also took computer hard disks and other Items from the studio.
Another incident happened on Monday when Jose Chameleon attacked Luwafu-Makindye based Sabula Records, beating up a producer and injuring Diggy Baur’s hand.
According to Diggy Baur, Chameleon thumped the producer because he was talking to him while pocketing.
The new devolpment comes a day after the Anti-corruption Court summoned Chameleon to appear before it on tax-evasion offenses. The singer is wanted over being in possession of uncustomed goods, (a South Sundanese car, a Toyota Land Cruiser V8 model GRJ 200). Uncustomed goods are goods that are illegally imported and are not declared to custom agents.
Jose Chameleon has long history of violence, attacking Deejays, music producers and fellow artistes.
His longstanding ” music wars” with fellow artists, Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool were probably meant to attract attention and building fan bases. But this seems not to be the case.
The big question now is; when will Chameleon ever stop getting himself involved in such scandals.
