11 new coronavirus cases in Uganda; all are truck drivers from Kenya and Tanzania

The Ministry of Health has confirmed 13 new positive cases of coronavirus in Uganda.

The cases confirmed on 08th May 2020 now bring the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 114.

The new cases arose from 2,421 samples of truck drivers collected at border entry points.

They include 4 Ugandans, 7 Kenyans and 2 Tanzanians.

All 740 samples taken from community tested negative for COVID-19.
