The Ministry of Health has confirmed 7 new positive cases of coronavirus in Uganda.

The 7 new positive cases came as a result of 225 samples tested today for COVID-19, bringing the total of confirmed cases in Uganda to 30.

Out of the 225 cases tested today, 218 tested negative. 5 new cases were confirmed yesterday.

PS Ministry of Health Dr. Diana Atwine attributed the rising number of cases per day to the vigilance in Ugandans who are coming for testing for the virus.

“All of them are part of those that came from abroad .The .majority have been under institutional quarantine. Only one had gone home” Dr. Atwine posted.
