President Museveni’s press conference which was scheduled to take place tomorrow 18th March, 2020 has been cancelled due to safety measures in the face of CODIV-19 pandemic.
In a message sent to media houses by Assistant Press Secretary to President Museveni Linda Nabusayi, there will be no access to State House by any media house, and Presidential Press Unit (PPU) will relay the address live to the media via online platforms.
“As advised by relevant health officials against meetings, PPU will relay the president’s address live and there will be no access to any other media to State House. We shall be sharing with you the link and content for use” Linda posted on social media.
President Museveni was set to address the nation on the progress in the fight against CODIV-19 at State House Entebbe on Wednesday.
Earlier on, access to the conference had been restricted to few media hoses especially those that air live coverage.
