The Ministry of Water and Environment through Water for Production Regional Centre West today handed over Miti Ebiri and Bugo Solar Powered Irrigation Schemes to the Kyotera District leadership and beneficiaries in Kyotera District for operation and maintenance.
According to the Ministry, both Schemes are designed to enhance agricultural productivity by ensuring a steady water supply for irrigation, with a focus on coffee production as the primary crop.
From the information posted on the Ministry’s socials, the schemes were implemented with funding from United Kingdom Export Credit Agency and the construction of the irrigation system was contracted to Nexus Green Limited.
