Former army commander Gen. Elly Tumwine and former Spy chief Gen. David Sejusa are among the UPDF Generals due for retirement from the army come Monday next week.
In a leaked Memo, the Generals the CIC Gen Yoweri Museveni will retire from service also include 3 Lieutenant Generals; Lt. Gen. John Mugume, Lt. Gen. Prossy Nalweyiso and the Chairman of the Court Martial Lt. Gen. Andrew Gutti. The rest are Major Generals and Brigadier Generals.
The memo was instructing officers at Mbuya-based Defense and Vetetan Affairs ministry to undertake documentation of the retiring generals ahead of the send-off exercise due on Monday 16th May 2022 and Tuesday 17th May 2022 starting 9:00AM.
Alongside the above mentioned generals, others are Major Generals: Stephen Kashaka, Ronald Kakari Tumwine, Manoni Katirima Phinehas, Elly Kayanja, Geofrey Balaba Muheesi, Burundi Kitafa Nyamunywanisa, David Kyomukama Kasura, Micheal Ondoga, Gavas Mugyenyi and Octavius Butuuro.
The rest are Brigadier Generals.
