KASANGATI, WAKISO July 11, 2025 – The Kasangati Division Police are actively investigating the sudden death of Ms. Fatumah Bbuye Nabiwemba, a 47-year-old State Attorney attached to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) headquarters.
According to police, Ms. Nabiwemba was found deceased at her residence in Wampeewo, Kasangati Town Council, on Thursday evening.
The incident was reported to the police on July 10, 2025, at approximately 8:36PM by Mr. Hamuza Kabanda, a driver at the DPP headquarters. According to preliminary findings, Ms. Nabiwemba had not been seen at her workplace for approximately four days prior to the discovery of her body. ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy PRO Kampala Metropolitan Police stated that Nabiwemba was staying alone at the Wampeewo home.
Upon receiving the report, a team of detectives, led by the Division Police Commander, promptly visited the scene. “A thorough search of the residence was conducted, and several items of evidential value were recovered” -ASP Owoyesigyire noted.
Nabiwemba’s body has been transported to the City Mortuary, where a postmortem examination will be conducted to ascertain the precise cause of death.
Police affirmed that investigations into the matter are ongoing and further details are expected to be released as the inquiry progresses.
