The West Nile Region Football Association has officially concluded its nomination process for the delegates in upcoming Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) elections, with six individuals nominated unopposed, and a strong endorsement for incumbent FUFA President, Hon. Moses Hassim, Magogo to continue serving another term.
This follows a peaceful and undisputed exercise this week where; Ariga Rasoul Ibrahim, Gerimia Joan (Women’s Representative), Bondo Muzamil, Andrew Onwangi, Letti Mike, Adee Fredrick (Representative for Regional Clubs), nominated as national delegates from the region:
The nomination and endorsement process took place under the West Nile Region Football Association’s framework, aligning with FUFA’s electoral roadmap for 2025.
Magogo is currently the FUFA President having been voted in 2013 and followed with successful re-election in 2017 and 2021 for a term of four (4) years each.
The West Nile region’s decision adds momentum to Magogo’s re-election bid, as he seeks to extend his leadership of Uganda’s football governing body. Under his tenure, FUFA has implemented structural reforms, promoted grassroots football, and enhanced Uganda’s international football profile.
With the FUFA elections drawing closer, the West Nile nominations mark another key milestone in the national football electoral process. All eyes now turn to other regions as they follow suit in shaping the next leadership team of FUFA.
