The announcement for the release date for results from the 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) was made after officials from Uneb briefed first lady Janet Museveni, who is the country’s Minister of Education and Sports.
UNEB says PLE 2024 results will be out this Thursday, January 23, 2025. Janet Museveni will be the chief guest at the release ceremony to held at State House Nakasero.
The PLE 2024 results release ceremony will be presided over by the First Lady and Minister of [Education and Sports. The event will also be live-streamed on both UNEB and Ministry of Education social media platforms.
According to UNEB, a total of 798,771 candidates registered for PLE in 2024 Compared to 749,254 in 2023. This represents an increase of 6.6 percent.
On January 21, UNEB officials briefed Minister Janet Museveni on the performance in PLE 2024 examinations. Over 700,000 candidates sat for four papers — English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, as well as Social Studies and Religious Education.
After the official release, parents, candidates and well wishers will be able to access the results via SMS on their mobile phones by typing: PLE then leave a space, Full Index number, and send to 6600.
UNEB spokesperson Jenifer Kasule said Schools can access results from their portals while printed copies will be picked by respective inspectors of schools.
