Two members of Parliament (MPs) have anounced they are joining the Opposition Alliance for National Transformation, headed by former army commander, Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu.
MPs, Hon. Gerald Karuhanga (Ntungamo Municipality -Independent) and Mr Paul Mwiru (Jinja East -FDC) made the announcement on Tuesday.
While receiving the two MPs, at the party headquarters on Plot 87, Buganda Road in Kampala Gen Muntu, who was recently picked as the ANT party presidential flag bearer in the 2021 general elections, said that it is just the beginning of a long journey ahead.
Gen Muntu said that ANT is a “place for those with deeply rooted values” and who are bold enough to speak truth to power.
Speaking at the event, Gerald Karuhanga said he had waited for long to join ANT for it’s structural foundation which constitutes the very critical values Uganda needs.
The new members said they are confident the team they have joined are endowed with gifts that will create solutions for Uganda’s problems.
