American Rapper Rick Ross set to perform LIVE at Uganda Benefit Charity Concert

As Uganda moves towards normalization of business and moving out of lockdown, Leaders in the entertainment industry are cooking up something to get Ugandans back in into their partying moods and this is a concert that’s set to feature American rapper, Rick Ross.

According to a statement released by events promoter- Swangz Avenue, Rick Ross will be able to perform at the “Uganda Benefit Concert” which is slated to happen anytime soon after the lockdown is lifted.

The concert is jointly organized by Uganda’s top promoters Swangz Avenue, Talent Africa and Malembe.

The organizers of the concert say that the proceeds from this concert will be donated to the government to facilitate health workers that have given in their all to fight the COVID-19 pandemic in Uganda.

“After everything Ugandans and the rest of the world have battled in the past couple of months, we thought ‘what better way could there be to remind ourselves that we are strong together'” Swangz Avenue Boss Julius Kyazze said in a tweet.

Rick is a 5 time Grammy Award Nominee and his song “Gold Rose” featuring Drake was nominated as a best Hip-Hop song in the 2020 Grammy Awards.

He was the first artist to get signed to P.Diddy’s Ciroc Entertainment. He later founded his own music label called Maybach Music Group (MMG) in 2009.

The dates have not been fixed yet and the organizers say they are in discussions with government over it, but Atleast we know it is slated to happen this year.

If all goes well, this will be the first time ever for Rick Ross, the Maybach Music Group boss to perform in Uganda. We shall keep you updated on the preparations going into the concert.
