The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga also joined Ugandans to applaud the Cranes for the spirited fight they put up during the short stint at AFCON despite having been knocked out at the second stage of the tournament.
Kadaga applauded Uganda Cranes for featuring twice at the tourney in successive beats, and specifically the teams performance against Senegal which is more experienced saying that the capacity and tenacity exhibited by the Cranes is proof that the national team will continue to excel in AFCON.
“It is no mean achievement that after an absence of over 30 years on the African scene, you have been able to qualify in both 2017 and 2019” Kadaga’s statement posted on the Parliament Press social media platform reads in part.
