Kawempe: Decomposed Body of Missing Toddler found in a swamp

The decomposed remains of 2-year-old Keeya Adrian, who went missing during a heavy downpour on November 2, 2023 in Maganjo ‘B’ in Nabweru Division, has been found in a swamp.

Keeya Adrian was reported missing on 2nd November 2023 by her aunt, Ainembabazi Masitula, under heavy rain conditions, and it is alleged that he had been entrusted to her care by the victim’s mother, Kyalikunda Carol of Wankulukuku, Kitebi.

According to police, the victims body, tragically missing its head, hands, and legs, was discovered by residents who reported to the secretary for women in Maganjo ‘B,’ who in turn alerted authorities. Swift action was taken, with statements recorded from witnesses and a meticulous crime scene examination led by the Scene of Crime officer.

The victim’s remains were conveyed to Mulago City Mortuary for a thorough postmortem examination -according to Luke Owoyesigyire the KMP Deputy spokesperson.

At this stage, Owoyesigyire said inquiries are ongoing, and the police are dedicated to ensuring a thorough investigation into this heartbreaking incident.

Police urged communities to remain vigilant and cooperative with law enforcement authorities and anyone with information relevant to this case is encouraged to come forward and assist the ongoing investigation.

“Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family and friends of Keeya Adrian during this difficult time.” He stated.
