NRM’s Andrew Ojok Oulanyah takes Omoro county constituency

The Electiral Commission has declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidate Andrew Ojok Oulanyah as the winner in the Omoro by-election beating other five candidates in polls held today.

Ojok garnered 14,224 votes while his closest contender Simon Toolit Alecha of the National Unity Platform (NUP) got 1,633 votes, according to the Electoral Commission.

Terence Odongo (independent) got 532 votes, FDC’s Odong Justine Obiya got 529 votes, Onen Jimmy (Independent) got 88 votes while Kiiza Oscar (ANT) got 66 votes.

Ojok is the son of the late Jacob Oulanyah who died in March 20, 2022.
