Gen. Muhoozi Keinerugaba has said he does not take pride in being referred to as “First son.”
“These days people like caling us ‘First everything.’ we all just laugh when we hear that. Before were anything, we were refugees in Tanzania and Kenya..” Gen. Muhoozi tweeted.
Gen. Muhoozi says, members of the first family were refugees before President Museveni fought for Uganda together with his uncle Gen. Salim Saleh.
He said they (members of the first family) were at one time fugitives in Kenya and Tanzania. He also posted a more-than a decade old photo of members of the first family, taken presumably while in exile.
