Gen. Muhoozi Keinerugaba has said he feels sympathy for those who think they can defeat Uganda’s president Yoweri Museveni.
In a message posted on his social media platform, Gen. Muhoozi says Museveni is the most successful revolutionary in African history.
“General Yoweri Museveni, the most successful revolutionary in African history. I pity those who think they can defeat him” Gen. Muhoozi tweeted on Wednesday.
President Museveni came to power in 1986 through a protracted people’s war that lasted five years, and he has been winning elections since 1996. He has also defeated insurgencies against his government since its formative years.
President Museveni is also expected to run in the forthcoming general elections in 2021.
However, Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Keinerugaba, a senior military officer, was not clear on the context of “defeat” as used in his post.
