For a while now, dance-hall artist Cinderella Ssanyu commonly known as Cindy has taken on stages with fierceness and left a good impression on her fans which is why she decided to give them a mega show in a concert dubbed “ BOOM PARTY” come tonight Saturday 7, 2019 at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
While appearing on an entertainment show on NBS TV, the dance-hall singer said it was about time a female artiste made history by holding a concert in an enormous venue that has only been used by mainly international acts and big artists like Jose Chameleon and David Lutalo.
Cindy who is going to be the first female Ugandan artist to hold a concert at the venue dominated the airwaves and social media when she attacked singer Sheebah Karungi who has made a name for herself in the music industry with songs like “Wankoona, Beera Nange , Nkwatako and Ice cream” among several others by referring to her as a dummy who cannot sing her music or stage a successful live performance hence daring for a battle.
“Sheeba is basically a dummy” Cindy said. This came after close to two years since the two started bragging to be the best and which tempted Cindy to nickname herself King contrary to Queen Sheebah. When asked why she was beefing Sheebah and if the beef is over, she said it wasn’t beef.
“Sheebah found me here , I was already an established artist by the time she joined this music industry as a solo artist, I was there for her and l actually wrote her first song dubbed “Ngenda kunyenyeza.” Cindy said. She further says she even sent an invitation to Sheeba through her management for her to perform at the boom party concert but she has never received a response.
She however, says the invite is still open and she can come through if she wants to. all the best for Cindy tonight.
