Singer Winnie Nwagi Charged with Indecency, Sign Agreement Never to Do it Again

Winnie Nwagi has been forced to apologize for the erotic behavior and forced to sign an agreement that bounds her to refrain from any pornographic presentation in future.

Appearing before the Pornographic Control Committee yesterday to explain her conduct during a dance-show at St. Mary’s College Kisubi, Nwagi admitted that her indecent and erotic dancing went overboard to an audience of majority children.

This comes after a video of the “Musawo” singer and her dancers nastily dubbing school boys, went viral attracting public condemnation.

“I do hereby acknowledge that my presentations through indecent and erotic dancing during a music show held on 13th July 2019, at St. Mary’s College Kisubi was pornographic and contravened the provisions of the Anti pornography Act 2014” the agreement Nwagi signed reads in part.

“I therefore undertake to refrain from any further pornographic shows as prohibited under the law, failure of which will result into further action being taken against me, up to and including prosecution and imprisonment.” concludes agreement before her signature.

The agreement was signed in presence of Dr. Annette Kezabu Kasimbazi the Chairperson of the Pornographic Control Committee, and other two officers.

Established by the Anti Pornography Act 2014, the 9 – member Committee was inaugurated in 2017 and mandated with controlling pornographic material on media platforms, and to implement provisions of the law in relation to pornography.
