The minister for Ethics and Integrity Fr. Simon Lokodo has condemned the conduct of Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata for abuse of authority, and said his office is examining the matter between Muzaata and Eddy Kenzo for the next course of action.

Minister Lokodo was reacting to the conduct of Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata who verbally attacked artiste Eddy Kenzo over his broken marriage to fellow artiste Rema Namakula. Muzaata is an outspoken Muslim cleric who is not new to controversies.

During a traditional ceremony at Rema’s “Kukyaala” on Independence Day, Muzaata refered to Kenzo as a “love Nigga, and a homosexual who doesn’t want to marry”, He even went on to advise Kenzo to marry his dead mother.

Lokodo said the authenticity of Muzaata’s religious ethics become questionable when he start insulting people he should be guiding instead. He said a team at his office is examining the matter after Kenzo brought it to their attention, pending next course of action.

“I want to bring to question the authenticity of his ‘Sheikhship;’ if he is a genuine sheikh and God-fearing, he shouldn’t have done that” Lokodo said. “I condemn in the strongest terms, the behavior of that Sheikh” He added.

He said he has been looking out for such pervert characters that mislead society especially when one is in a position of leadership, and as a religious leader Muzaata wouldn’t have uttered such statements.

Fr. Lokodo said his office is in position to reprimand such characters especially when one holds an office of leadership, because leaders should be people of integrity who must leave a legacy.
