The state Minister for Finance in charge of investment Hon. Evelyn Anite has said some people in government are planning to kill her.
In a press briefing she held today in her office, Anite said a series of meetings are going on whose agenda is to eliminate her.
“there has been meetings at Kampala Club, URSB offices and other places. My phone is being tapped and sometimes i hear them speaking in the background” Minister Anite said.
“My car is being trailed. I am being followed everywhere but i am not scared of them” she added.
Anite has been involved in power struggles over the fate of Uganda Telecom Limited involving senior officials in the Justice ministry, Finance ministry, and UTL administrator, Twebaze Bemanya.
Anite recently prevailed over her rivals when High Court ruled that an audit should be conducted into operations of UTL which had been her position.
