MPIGI UGANDA: Three people are confirmed dead while another one is critically injured following a fatal road crash which occurred last night at Kamengo along Masaka-kampala Highway.
The incident was recorded by Police in Mpigi at around 11:40PM around Kamengo at Kasuule Anyways swamp, along Masaka-Kampala highway.
According to the PRO traffic police, SP Michael Kananura, the crash involved two motor vehicles including a Mitsubishi Fuso registered number UAL605U headed for Masaka side, which collided head-on with a Subaru Forester registration number UBH247L.
The preliminary report indicates that the two vehicles travelling from opposite directions collided killing instantly three (03) occupants of the Subaru Forester including the driver.
One other passenger in the Subaru was critically injured and was rushed to Double cure hospital in Mpigi for medical attention.
SP Kananura stated that the bodies of the deceased were conveyed to Gombe hospital mortuary for postmortem while both motor vehicles involved in this crash were towed to Kamengo Police station pending inspection.
