Jinja Road Police on Tuesday arrested AIP Egwang David a Police officer on allegations of murder by shooting inside the barracks.
Its alleged that today 05 Sep. 23 at around 1715 hours, Egwang a police officer attached to Counter Terrorism tactical Naguru shot his wife dead with a pistol while at Jinja road police barracks where they have been staying.
In a statement, police identified the deceased as corporal (Cpl) Atino Jennifer attached to Very Important Person Protection Unit of Police (VIPPU) at Parliament.
According to the statement, the motive of shooting is suspected to be domestic violence The suspect, AIP Egwang David is currently detained at Jinja Road Police Division awaiting interrogation.
