Besigye’s tormentor Afande Omara lands a job in private Security company

Retired Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sam Omala has finally clinched a job as the new Deputy CEO in charge of operations for Arrow Security Services -a private security company in Uganda.

Sam Omara became popular for crushing opposition political activities several years ago, when he was the Police Operations commander, especially during the 2011 Walk-to-work protests led by FDC’s Dr. Kizza Besigye.

The Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda Capt. Mike Mukula who owns Arrow Security unveiled O’Mara today the and tasked him to use his experience to keep peace and property of Ugandans.

At the height of his career, the ruthless police officer served under the ruling NRM government with unmatched charisma and later retired to a quiet lifestyle in 2020. In a recent interview, Omara grumbled about not being appreciated for his faithful service to NRM citing cases of when he rejected bribes involving millions of shillings.

At the event, Capt. Mukula said it’s bad to leave retired security officers dormant because they can be easily attempted into wrong things to cause insecurity in the country.

Mukula they have decided to employ Afande omala because of his experience in security and his going to help junior officers be exposed to different tactics of keeping peace as well as discipline to acts of Gun killings by security officers in the country.

In his short speech, Omara applauded the management of Arrow security systems limited for their efforts to support police in keeping law and order in the country and has vowed to use his experience in security to help Arrow strengthen its system of keeping security in Uganda.
