Serere County MP Patrick Okabe and his wife died following fatal accident which occurred along Mbale -Tirinyi Road.
Reports indicate that the accident at a place called Naboa in Budaka District happened at around 7:30AM after the official vehicle Registration UBK 995F in which the legislator was travelling collided head-on with a Fuso lorry.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that the Hon. Okabe died on spot while his wife died later in Mbale Referral Hospital where she was rushed after sustaining fatal injuries.
The legislators vehicle, according to eyewitnesses, was heading to Kampala from Mbale when it collided with the Fuso with Kenyan registration number plates.
