11 more people have tested positive in Kenya bringing the total number of cases in the country to 281.
7 of the positive cases confirmed on Monday are Kenyans from Mombasa, and 4 from Nairobi, Waka area. 5 are female and 6 are male.
None of the confirmed cases has a travel history which means they are victims of community transmission.
The positive cases identified are aged between the age of 11 and 80 years old according to the Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe.
CS Kagwe also confirmed that 3 of the positive cases from Mombasa are contacts of the herbalist who recently died in the area due to coronavirus.
On Saturday, CS Kagwe attributed the rising trend of positive cases of coronavirus to mass testing which government rolled out last week.
Government in Kenya also announced it will quarantine all people found outside their houses during curfew time as a latest measure to tame offenders of curfew orders.
