UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has tested positive for coronavirus.

Johnson presented with signs and symptoms of coronavirus, and upon testing he found out he was positive.

Downing Street said Mr Johnson had been tested on the advice of his chief medical officer Professor Chris Whitty, having been experiencing “mild symptoms” on Thursday.

He is now self-isolating, but says he will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus.

He added: “Together we will beat this. #StayHomeSaveLives.”
