MOGAS(U) trains UPDF officers in Lubricants technology

MOGAS(U) has boosted its partnership with the UPDF by organizing a refresher training for UPDF officers and men on lubricants technology at the Silver Springs Hotel Kampala under the theme; Lubrication for Today’s Advancing Technology.UPDF is one of the leading clients of MOGAS(U) therefore this training was their way of giving back to their clients and getting customer feedback on areas of concern and improvement.

 While giving opening remarks, the MOGAS group CEO,Mr.Rugazoora Geoffrey, welcomed the participants to the training and informed them that this training was particularly tailor made for the UPDF because it’s a special group due to their role as a great army but also to them as a Client. 

He further thanked the UPDF leadership for giving them the privilege to partner with them because of the noble role they perform not only in Uganda but on the global stage.He encouraged them to ask as much as they can and give frank feedback so as to improve.

In his remarks, Maj.Kwebiha,Deputy IGME thanked the MOGAS team for inviting them for this training and passing on such valuable knowledge that they will take back to those who stayed. 
He introduced the various participants drawn from different units of the UPDF with the most senior being Brig.Ronald Bigirwa, Commander Service Brigade.

In his remarks at the closing of the function, Brig.Gen Ronald Bigirwa thanked MOGAS(U) for organizing such an educative seminar since lubricant technology is dynamic. 
He said with all the other oil companies UPDF has partnered with over the years,MOGAS is the only one that has organized such for UPDF.

He called upon the officers in attendance to take this as a big opportunity and pass on the knowledge to their colleagues back in the different units.
Participants were taken through various areas like Safety Measures,Lubrication Fundamentals,best practices for maintenance and briefed about the different oils and lubricants. 
At the end of the training, participants received certificates of training and attendance.
