Two suspected terrorists were last night killed by security agents in Matuga near Uganda’s capital Kampala.
According to the Deputy Army Spokesman Lt. Col. Deo Akiiki, the criminals armed with 2 SMG guns, were killed by security on Sunday night at around 1104hrs in Kito cell, Matuga town Council Gombe Division, Wakiso District.
One of the killed criminals was identified as kajubi Akim and the other called Muhanguzi male adult aged 30yrs.
In a short statement, Lt. Col. Deo Akiiki noted that 4 magazines, 66 bullets and 1 Improvised Explossive Device (IED) were recovered in the house of one the dead.
He said the bodies of the killed criminals were taken to Mulago Mortuary but noted that details will be provided by police.
ADF, a Ugandan rebel group operating in the neighbouring DRC has been recently making making incursions in the East African country and blamed for several attacks including bombings in the city.
Last week security intercepted and killed more than 17 ADF rebels who were part of a group that crossed into Ntoroko border District from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
