4 new coronavirus cases confirmed in Uganda; all Tanzanian truck drivers

4 new COVID-19 cases of coronavirus were on Sunday confirmed in Uganda.

All new confirmed cases are Tanzanian truck drivers who arrived via Mutukula border. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 79.

The new cases were confirmed out of 1,578 samples tested among truck drivers out of the 1,578 samples tested among truck drivers, while all 411 samples from communities tested negative.

For the last 14 days no case tested positive from inside Uganda. All new cases are truck drivers from Tanzania and Kenya.

The ministry of health noted that a detailed statement would be issued on Monday morning.
