I am Going to Sort Out the Crisis at Judiciary – Pius Bigirimana

The newly appointed Permanent Secretary of Judiciary Mr Pius Bigirimana has welcomed the appointment and said he is going to sort out the crisis in the judiciary.

In an interview with this website immediately after his appointment, Bigirimana highly welcomed the appointment and said there has been some crisis in the judiciary which he says he must sort out.

“It is an honor to me. Serving as PS at the same time the secretary to the judiciary; that is a big thing. I know that there has been some crisis, so I am going to sort it out when i reach there” said Bigirimana.

He said he is aware of the big task ahead but he is going to sort out issues of performance of staff at the judiciary, ‘electronizing’ the court system, and the issue corruption in the judicial sector.

He said he will start by drawing a road-map of the whole process to overhaul the system and this will enable him handle every item one by one.

Pius Bigirimana takes over from Mr. Kagole Kivumbi whose service as PS at the judiciary has lately been shrouded by cases of misappropriation of funds amounting to 34bn Shillings as highlighted in the Auditor Generals report.

Kagole Kivumbi has been sent on forced leave and scheduled to handover office to the incoming PS on Monday next week.
