Gen. Muhoozi Keinerugaba’s Mega birthday party at Lugogo Cricket Oval which is scheduled for Saturday 23rd April 2022 will not be for invited guests but open for all -the organizers have said.
According to Michael Toyota, the Chairman Team MK -a group in charge of organizing the event said there will be no limitations on who accesses the venue on the D-day as the Commander of Land Forces celebrates his 48th birthday in style.
During a press conference held today at Lugogo Cricket Oval -the venue of the event, the organizers said all is ready for the Mega bash which they said is “a social event that should not be politicized.”
Initially, it was anticipated that the event was to be for lucky few individuals which the organizers now say will not be the case.
“I want to tell you that we are much ready and I want you to tell the world that everybody is allowed to come with or without a card” Toyota said. He said invitation cards are one of the tools they are using alongside radio announcements and oral messages.
“Its not about politics, religion nor colors but a social function. It’s purely entertainment and celebrations for the birthday of General Muhoozi Keinerugaba. I invite everybody. Lets join and celebrate the birthday of General Keinerugaba.” He said.
Toyota, who happens to be Gen Muhoozi’s uncle said the event set to start at 12:00Noon, will host a number of activities including cutting a Birthday cake, entertainment, fireworks and all tribes of drinks and eats.
He also noted that the event will be graced by local and foreign dignitaries though he did not specifically name them. Toyota however said Rwanda’s president Paul Kagame is not among the guests expected to attend the event. He also extended on open invitation to the NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi.
Asked about the budget and source of funds that will facilitate the event, Toyota also did not specify the amount but said 50,000 people are expected to attend the function and all requirements including food, drinks, entertainment have been offered by Gen Muhoozi’s friends and well-wishers.
Over the past few months, Gen Muhoozi has been listing a number of invited guests expected to attend the event at Lugogo including Gen Paul Kagame, President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya and several others.
