Musician Geoffrey Lutaaya was among the over 104,000 candidates who sat for their Uganda Advanced Certificate Of Education (UACE) examinations in 2019.
When the results were released on Friday, and the likes of Hon. Peter Sematimba (Busiro South) were basking in the press showing off their results, the New Eagles production boss went mute until he was contacted by press.
Lutaaya however agreed to have sat the exams, but refused to disclose the results saying he was engaged with a few errands and wasn’t able to talk about the matter.
“Iam currently in a press conference but l will call you back as soon as I am done here” Geoffrey Lutaaya told a local radio station Radio Simba.
On a second attempt Lutaaya this time told him that he had a serious problem at hand because one of his cars had gotten an accident and that he wasn’t in position to discuss such issues.
Till now, efforts to get the singer’s results have been in vain as he has refused to talk about it.
The singer who dropped out of school 20 years ago to go and pursue his music career, decided to go back after expressing his interest in the Kakuto County parliamentary seat come 2021 general elections. U.A.C.E Certificate is the minimum academic qualification requirement for any legislative seat in Uganda.
He shocked the country when he came out publicly in 2018 and announced that he had sat for the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams and passed with flying colors (according to him) despite obtaining aggregate 62.
