Popular comedian and former Lubaga South Member of Parliament, drama actor, musician, songwriter, former radio presenter and businessman Kato Lubwama is dead.
Kato was pronounced dead on Wednesday morning by events promoter Andrew Mukasa aka Bajjo on his social media account.
The cause of Lubwama’s death is yet to be revealed but according to reports, he succumbed to a heart attack at Stana Medical Center in Bunamwaya where he often had periodic checkups.
Kato also known as Biiso died at the age of 52 years.
Kato Lubwama has had a history of heart complications in recent years. In March 2022, he was hospitalized briefly and later undergone a successful heart surgery in Turkey.
Brief Biography:
Kato Lubwama born on 16, August 1970, completed his primary seven (PLE) in 1993, at Nabagereka Primary School.
In 1988, Lubwama sat for his Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), at Old Kampala Secondary School.
1991-1992, Lubwama obtained his Special University Entry Examination, Certificate Other, at Makerere University Kampala.
1994, Lubwama obtained a Diploma in Music, Dance and Drama, at Makerere University Kampala.
Kato Lubwama has been the Director of Royal Theater since 2010 to date, and he’s a drama actor.
Director, Diamonds Ensemble, since 1994 to date. Director Image Africa, since 1999 to date. Member of Parliament, Rubaga South Constituency since 2016 till 2021.
Kato Lubwama has been a businessman dealing in the maize flour business and several other businesses including being the director of B24TV in Uganda.
