There occurred disruptions in flights at Uganda’s International Airport -Entebbe this morning following an incident when a Rwanda Air CRJ 9 aircraft, flight number 464 veered off the runway on landing due to bad weather.
The delicate incident happened this morning at 5:31 am when the aircraft skid off the main runway disrupting airport operations and causing flight delays.
According to Uganda Civil Aviation Authority -UCCA, all the passengers were disembarked safely and the situation is under control.
The Airport operations authority also noted that efforts are still underway to remove the aircraft from the runway strip so that the main runway can return to full use.
In the meantime, UCCA says the second (alternate) runway 12/30 is operational for small and light aircraft.
