2020 Most Reputable Africans named: Only 2 Presidents, 2 Ugandan women made the list

Reputation Poll International, a leading global reputation-management firm, has released the 2020 list of 100 Most Reputable Africans.

The list features 47 women and 53 men from diverse sectors including; Leadership, Entertainment, Advocacy, Education and Business. The selection Criteria are: Integrity, Visibility and Impact.

Very prominent personalities featured in the list including Nigeria’s Dr. Paul Enenche, South Africa’s Prof. Wiseman L. Nkuhlu, Chancellor of the University of Pretoria and Chairman of Rothschild among others.

In governance, the list featured only 2 Presidents: Paul Kagame of Rwanda and DRC Congo’s Felix Tshisekedi. These were listed alongside Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.

Other prominent personalities who made the list include Gambian Lawyer and Former ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda, Guinean Economist Cellou Dalein Diallo, and Cameroon’s Dr. Vera Songwe, Executive Secretary, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.

Only 2 Ugandans were listed: Aeronautics Engineer and the current UNAIDS Executive Director, Winnie Byanyima and Medical doctor and business consultant, Prof. Maggie Kigozi, both women.

From Kenya, Health minister Mutahi Kagwe, Politician Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya, Rwandan economist Donald Kaberuka and Tanzanian politicians Anna Kajumulo Tibaijuka and Asha-Rose Migiro were also listed.

South African middle-distance runner, Caster Semenya, Benin singer Angelique Kidjo and a Nigerian Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church, Francis Arinze were also picked as part of Africas 100 most reputable personalities of 2020.

Reputation Poll, known globally for its annual ranking of the 100 Most Reputable People on Earth and Most Reputable CEOs in various countries, is also poised to announce a new set of research on 100 Most Reputable Charity Organizations on earth.
