3 more patients were discharged from Mulago National Referral Hospital on Wednesday after complete recovery from coronavirus disease.
The discharged patients include 2 males and 1 female. This brings the total number of recoveries in Uganda so far to 20.
The Deputy Director Mulago Hospital Dr. Byanyima Rosemary said the discharged patients tested negative for coronavirus on two occasions and according to protocol, they are free of COVID.
Dr. Byanyima said only 3 patients remain in the ward undergoing treatment.
Officials said they are hopeful the remaining 3 will be discharged this week.
The cases who recovered were presented with certificates of discharge, and handed over to their representative only identified as Mr Ayubu.
The total number of positive cases in Uganda ever since the pandemic broke out is 61. No death has been recorded yet.
