1 more case of coronavirus was confirmed in Uganda on Tuesday.
The new case is a 32 year old Kenyan truck driver who arrived from Kenya at Malaba border. He was tested as part of the standard procedure for all cargo transporters entering Uganda.
By press time, arrangements to evacuate him to Entebbe Hospital for treatment were underway.
The case arose out of 1019 samples tested on that day.
This brings the total number of confirmed Cases of COVID-19 in Uganda to 61.
The ministry of health in Uganda amended statics related to COVID-19 to include foreigners who tested positive while in the country as required by International Health regulations.

The ministry of health also dispelled allegations that the 2 bodies of deceased Ugandans that arrived from Dubai and Qatar were smuggled into the country.
MOH said the cause of death of the dead from Dubai UAE was accident. MOH says the body arrived at Entebbe Int. Airport on Saturday 18th April, and he was buries safely.
The one from Doha, Qatar was reported as Acute Respiratory Syndrome. The body arrived at Entebbe on Sunday 19th April, and received by A-Plus funeral managers together with 2 members of his family.
On receiving the news, the ministry says it took over burial ceremonies together with Red Cross Uganda.
However, 6 A-Plus and 2 relatives of the deceased who recived the body before the intervention of MOH were put under 14-day institutional quarantine in Kayunga -MOH says.
