The Kabaka of Buganda His Highness Ronald Mwenda Mutebi II has expressed concern over the escalation of hatred and envy among Ugandan politicians, and advised them to desist from divisive politics.
The remarks are part of the Kabaka’s Christmas message he issued today.
The Kabaka cautioned Ugandans to desist from harmful propaganda politics, raising concern over murder, envy and hatred as vices which
are on the increase and need to stop as the country approaches the
2021 General Elections.
He says that people need to know that differences in political
affiliations do not make them enemies after all they remain Ugandans.
The Kabaka also appealed to his subjects about the importance of
conserving the environment to avoid the vulgarizes of weather including drought and floods that have caused havoc in the country.
He also noted that land remains an important asset for Buganda Kingdom which must be protected since without land, they
are to set turn into destitutes in their own motherland.
His Highness Kabaka Mutebi II advised his subjects to also know their HIV status, and if necessary seek medication and counseling in
time saying life matters.
